Upcoming Community Education Opportunities for Our MGSD Families

Hello MGSD families,

We wanted to make you aware of two excellent opportunities that are being offered to our community!  

First is a free live workshop being offered on Zoom by pediatrician Dr. Michael Tjahjadi.  Dr. Tjahjadi is a board-certified pediatrician with Iredell Health Systems who believes in the power of education and caring for the whole child.  This live Zoom will take place on April 29 at 8:00pm and include a question and answer time.  Please register even if you cannot attend, and he will send you a recording!  Thank you to "Dr. Michael" for taking the time to offer his services to our families!



Second, Be Well Iredell will be hosting its 3rd Annual Mental Health Forum on Thursday, May 7 in Statesville.  This year's event was co-designed with our high school youth!  It will cover important topics such as youth anxiety, depression, and substance abuse, and mental wellness.  Ms. Cheryl Fuller will be speaking about her experience and the tools that work! This event is free but we do ask that you register for lunch counts.  Thank you to our partners at the United Way of Iredell County and Be Well Iredell for planning this resourceful event and including our high school students!
