Safe, Happy, Healthy and HISTORY at the Park!

Hello Mooresville Community!

Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon at the park that's both engaging and informative! We're thrilled to invite you to our special event: "Safe, Happy, Healthy & History at the Park!"

This FREE event is being hosted by MGSD in collaboration with several community partners.  Join us for a fantastic opportunity to connect with your community, learn valuable health and safety tips, and take a step back in time with our engaging history walk – all in the beautiful setting of Liberty Park!  A picnic style grab-n-go food will be provided courtesy of our MGSD leadership team.

What's in store for you?

• Health & Safety Hub: From local doctors to our Town of Mooresville emergency services, discover valuable resources and information from local organizations dedicated to keeping our families safe and healthy. Learn about important topics like:
  • Parenting in today's busy times
  • Nutrition and healthy eating habits
  • Mental wellness resources
  • Emergency preparedness tips
  • Blood pressure checks
  • And much more!
• Interactive Activities: Engage in fun, hands-on activities for kids of all ages to learn valuable lessons like hands-only CPR, how jump-roping keeps you healthy, and healthy JENGA, and so much more!
• History Walk Adventure:  Walking keeps you healthy so we will embark on a fun, history-filled adventure through downtown! Starting at Liberty Park, families will receive a map and embark on a walk through several blocks of the area, searching for 10 QR codes. Each code will reveal fascinating historical facts about the town and sometimes offer a challenge or photo opportunity. Be sure to bring at least one smartphone per group to participate in this exciting journey!
• Community Connection: Connect with other public school families, teachers, and community members in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.  Food will be available!

Who should attend?

This event is FREE and open to our Mooresville community! We encourage families of all ages to come and participate. A quick RSVP is appreciated so we can properly plan for food!
