Hello MGSD Families,

When we come together, share a meal, and open up real conversations, we unlock the true potential of our community. That is why we are excited to invite you to join us for The Longest Table – an afternoon dedicated to connection, community, and the power of unity.

Event Details

  • What: The Longest Table - a collaboration between Mooresville Graded School District, the United Way of Iredell County, Iredell Health Systems, and other community sponsors.
  • Why: To bring our community together at one continuous table that will run the length of Blue Devil Boulevard at Mooresville High School to share a meal, share stories, and build lasting bridges across our district and community.
  • The Mission: To create a better community by harnessing "The Power of We."
  • The Food:  BBQ Chicken, slaw, mac & cheese, baked beans and the best chocolate chip cookies served family style at your table! (Thank you to Iredell Health Systems for their generous donation to provide the meal.)
  • The Fun:  Enjoy a KIDS ZONE with fun activities, balloon animals, "tattoos," as well as a community resource area to learn about opportunities within our community.
  • The Place:  Outside, along Blue Devil Blvd at Mooresville High School (659 E. Center Ave., Mooresville, NC 28115).
  • The Date:  Sunday, September 27, 2026.  Check-in at 12:30.  Meal at 1:00pm.
  • The Cost:  It's FREE, thanks to working with generous sponsors.  We do ask that you sign up so that we can have enough food and eliminate waste!

The Longest Table represents the heart of our community.  When we come together to share a meal and engage in authentic conversation, we build empathy and understanding. ‘The Power of We’ is about recognizing that every single voice matters, and together, our collective energy can shape a brighter, more connected future for Mooresville.
